Prior To the Conference

PowerPoint Presentations

Thank you for agreeing to speak at 2007 TOA Annual Meeting.  Your five minute presentation is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 12^th.  Stay tuned for agenda and time schedule.

Please mail or email the following materials no later than April 15^th:

·         A copy of your PowerPoint Presentation

·         A signed Speaker Disclosure Form
(see Speaker Disclosure Form Information below)

·         Notification of audio visual or other conference set-up requirements you will need for you presentation (see Audio Visual Equipment below)

Speaker Disclosure Form

As a sponsor accredited by the Texas Medical Association (TMA), TOA requires that all TOA speakers comply with ACCME Standards for Commercial Support. Compliance requires disclosure of any financial interests or relationships with those who manufacture commercial products and services, as well as discussions regarding the investigational use of products.

New ACCME rules stipulate that no speaker may take the podium unless disclosure has been made. TOA needs ample time to review all speaker materials to resolve any conflicts of interest. We therefore ask that Speaker Disclosure forms be returned via fax at (866) 864-1568 no later than Friday, April 15th.

Please print and complete the Speaker Disclosure Form and fax to your coordinator at (866) 864-1568.

Audio Visual Equipment

Each CME room is set with the audiovisual equipment listed below.  If you need additional equipment please contact the TOA office:

• Data projector/screen for PowerPoint presentations
• Wired lapel microphone
• Podium with microphone
• Laser pointer
• Laptop on podium displaying PowerPoint presentation
• A head table with three microphones for discussion/questions.

TOA will load each presentation on to the TOA Laptop prior to Saturday, May 12^th.  If you have an audiovisual presentation prepared, please email it to Jeseka Wallace (Jeseka@toa.org) or mail it to Texas Orthopaedic Association, 401 West 15^th Street, Ste. 820, Austin, TX 78701 as soon as possible so that we can have it loaded and ready to present at the meeting.

Poster Presentations

Thank you for agreeing to display a Poster Presentation at 2007 TOA Annual Meeting.  The poster presentations will be displayed throughout the meeting beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, May 11^th and ending at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 12^th.  Click here for Poster Presentation Instructions.

If you are planning on attending the TOA Annual Meeting, feel free to bring your poster presentation with you.  If you are not planning on attending the TOA Annual Meeting, please mail your poster presentation to the TOA office at 401 West 15^th Street, Ste. 820, Austin, TX 78701.

When You Arrive

Plan to arrive at the Four Seasons Hotel at least 30 minutes prior to your presentation.  Pick up your meeting packet at TOA’s registration desk located on the Lake Level of the Four Seasons Hotel in front of the Four Seasons Ballroom.  TOA staff will assist you if you have any questions.

Session Evaluations

TOA’s staff will distribute evaluation forms prior to each session. Feedback will be tallied post-meeting and each presenter will receive feedback from his/her session.
