On Tuesday, April 10, 2007, the House
Public Education Committee will reconsider House Bill 3145 by
Representative Burt Solomons (R–Carrollton).
House Bill 3145 would require
student athletes in Texas to go to a Physician for a physical
examination prior to participating in athletic events.
Currently, certain school districts in
the state allow allied health providers, including Chiropractors, to
perform these exams.
House Bill 3145 was initially
heard last week and was left pending in committee.
Contact your legislator or a member of
the House Public Education Committee (see below) and let them know
that you SUPPORT House Bill 3145.
