RED ALERT!!!

VOTE "NO" ON HB 1096

HB 1096 expands the number of APNs and PAs to whom physicians may delegate prescriptive authority.  The bill also loosens site and record review requirements.  PatientsFIRST and the Texas Orthopaedic Association is concerned that the lowering of quality standards will reduce the quality of care the patient receives and will jeopardize patient safety.

HB 1096 is currently in Calendars Committee.  The Calendars Committee sets the bills on the House Floor Calendar.  Ask the House Calendar Committee members to NOT SET HB 1096 on a FLOOR CALENDAR.

Contact the members of the House Calendars Committee (see below) and let them know that you, your societies and the PatientsFIRST Coalition OPPOSE HB 1096.
